Sunshine State Young Readers Awards K-2

The SSYRA Jr. program is a statewide reading program for kindergarten through second grade students. The mission of the SSYRA Jr. program is to develop students’ interest in reading for pleasure by exposing them to a wide range of appropriate literature. Sunshine State Jr. books are selected for their wide appeal, literary value, varied genres, curriculum connections, and/or multicultural representation.

Unfortunately, the chickadee is hungry and wants to eat someone, so it’s up to Sir Ladybug to use his baking skills to whip up a life-changing lemon cake and save the bug buddies from becoming lunch.
